Position Description/Accountabilities
This position is to carry out hands-on maintenance and coordinates maintenance work related to instrumentation in Production Unit (PU). The role assures that activities on the weekly schedule, emergencies or assigned non routine maintenance work are executed with quality and efficiency and in compliance to the site Health, Safety and Environment requirements.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day hands-on maintenance/troubleshooting of instrument related matters in PU.
- Ensure compliance of engineering practices and assets with statutory obligations, Engineering Codes of Practices and DEP standards.
- Review and communicate daily / weekly schedule assignments with workforce. Plan / execute / obtain resources, materials, services, and equipment for E and SB priority work repairs.
- Ensure compliance with HSSE standards, Monitor and feedback on the maintenance effectiveness process and take corrective action if required, GSAP administration of time sheets, service, purchase, and material orders.
- Lead in the timely daily maintenance schedule execution, E/SB work order planning, E/SB reviews, daily updates.
- Liaise with/consults Operations, Technology, other Engineering and Procurement departments as part of the execution of jobs.
- Initiate and plan to upgrade instrument systems before obsolescence and deteriorations beyond repair.
- Perform end of day schedule progress (percent complete, MCMP, TECO and approve actual hours).
- Ensure completion of QA / QC and condition reports. Field presence and supervisor of maintenance contractor (craft productivity and quality of work) for effective and efficient execution.
- Manage the activities in the hard schedule, adopting small adjustments or deviations where necessary.
- Feedback jobs that roll-over into next week(s) to the scheduler. Identify risks for not achieving schedule and taking mitigating action, keeping maintenance supervisor / team lead informed.
- Feedback to maintenance planning and scheduling
- Timely request to operations for maintenance permitting Analyze and trouble-shoot instrumentation problems.
- Update and maintain spare parts inventory.
- Seek improvement in techniques, procedures and technology to improve reliability at minimum costs and within budget.
- Report and recommend improvement on recurring problems/breakdowns.
- Involve in scheduled safety walkabout.
- Assess the risk of all day to day jobs that is carried out Develop formal JOHAN with all relevant parties for jobs with medium and high risk.
- Full compliance with LSR & Safety Rules at all times to achieve Goal Zero.
Job Requirement:
- Minimum NITEC Level 2 certification in Instrumentation or Electronics or Electrical, or Diploma/Degree in
- Instrumentation or Electronics or Electrical.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in Instrument construction/ Maintenance in oil & gas, chemical/
- petrochemical or related industries.
- Knowledge in basic control system and/or functional logic is an advantage.
- Proven ability to diagnose and troubleshoot instrument and control system malfunctions.
- Experience with calibration of industrial instrumentation.
- Understanding of control system principles (PLC, DCS) and communication protocols (OPC, Fieldbus, Modbus,HART, Vnet).
- Able to understand PID and have knowledge of instrumentation and control element.
- Basic understanding of server system administration, including troubleshooting and maintenance procedures.
- SAP (GSAP) knowledge in Maintenance Module will be a plus.
- Experience in field work interfacing and stakeholder’s engagement.
- Excellent communication, analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Self-motivated with a strong commitment to teamwork and collaboration and managing contractors and vendors.
- Able to work in Team environment, as well as standalone when need arises.
