Purpose/ Accountabilities:

PU Maintenance Execution team undertakes all maintenance activities related to day-to-day maintenance in the PU.

The main task of the maintenance team is to work jointly in close cooperation with operations, technology and engineering in ensuring the integrity and availability of the assets and facilities and to ensure maximum availability and reliability and to support the PU to meet the business plans.

Perform execution of electrical related maintenance, projects, turnaround and respond to unplanned events in the process unit while meeting maintenance targets (HSSE, Meeting Plan, KPIs, Budget, etc.) as set for the team. 

The Electrical Maintenance Technician will be supporting the Electrical Maintenance Engineer in troubleshooting and day-to-day reactive as well as preventive maintenance tasks.

 

Job Responsibilities: 

  1. Responsible for day-to-day corrective and proactive maintenance and/or troubleshooting activities for all electrical related matters.
  2. Responsible for coaching and guiding electrical technicians from contractor partners and closely supervises their personnel activities in aspects of safety and productivity 
  3. Responsible for prioritizing, scheduling and conducting maintenance execution work process on all electrical equipment-related works in the PU to ensure quality maintenance is carried out in an effective and efficient manner.
  4. Perform electrical isolation/LOTO/Maintenance overrides for electrical equipment and any other activities that contractor partners are not authorized to do.
  5. Work closely and establish good teamwork with Operations, Technology, Maintenance and Technical Support Group in carrying out routine maintenance.
  6. Provide constructive feedback/technical advice/input to Operations staff in the PU and his/her maintenance team on electrical matters. 
  7. Seek continual improvement in technology, procedures and techniques to improve electrical equipment performance.
  8. Responsible for maintaining work requests planning and records on maintenance works using the SAP system. 
  9. Provide input to maintenance manager in planning/preparing/monitoring budget for all electrical maintenance work and executes the works within the budget. 
  10. Manage and lead electrical troubleshooting including cross discipline support management for electrical equipment.
  11. Represent Electrical Maintenance in cross discipline work scope management. Cross discipline work is inclusive of mechanical, scaffold, instrumentation and civil scope.
  12. Represent Maintenance Electrical for the project handover ensuring all required information and spares are handed over in proper and good order. 

 

HSSE Responsibilities: 

  1. Ensure electrical maintenance team and contractors comply with HSSE standards and participate in audits such as HSSE MS, legislative, ISO 9001, ISO14001 and OHSA 18001 requirements and HSSE Level 2 Competencies.
  2.  Participate in PU HSSE committee meetings.
  3. Implement assigned controls identified in the HSSE-MS, such as those in the Refinery Bowties, Hazard Sheets and HRAs.
  4. Participate in/conducts audits related to quality, health, safety and environment. 

 

Job Requirements:  

  1. Relevant Diploma / ITE  
  2. 2-5 years’ experience in the Oil & Gas industry maintenance field.
  3. Licensed Electrical Worker (LEW) will be an advantage.
  4. Skilled in executing maintenance work and managing the contractors on site.
  5. Skilled in the Job Hazard Analysis, Confine Space Entry, Permit to Work system and Clearance application requirement.
  6. Strong understanding of GAME ME process, GSAP and Plant change Request (PCR) implementation.
  7. Good interpersonal skills in managing people and interfacing with others. Ability to articulate and break down electrical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
  8. Knowledge in trouble shooting equipment failures and repair schemes
